Thomas Jefferson once said: 'Writing constitutes capital. It lasts for hundreds of years and in the case of professional men [and women] who are setting out in life, it is their only means of capital to build from.' What Mr. Jefferson is saying is important to recognize because if you really think about it, nothing in this world - nor any other world - functions without the foundation of writing. Without contracts, applications, currency, criminal records, or constitutions (among many other things), there would be no regulations, no order, and no coherent structure to society. However, as any good writer knows, not everyone can write well. Fortunately, writing is a skill which develops over time with consistent perseverance and a dedicated mindset. Most blogs are trash - I won't lie, but as a writer and an educator, at least blogging is writing and writing is better than not writing. So I commend anybody that puts the time and effort into sharing their thoughts with the rest of the world. Hopefully you find the musings in my blog interesting and time-worthy to you as a reader. :)
